count apples

Use this count the apples worksheet to count the grouping of apples and place them in the correct wheelbarrows. While this was originally created to go with the book Hungry Bunny, use it any time you’d like to practice counting or want a fall activity. Once your child has mastered counting and matching the apples to the wheelbarrows, consider talking about even numbers. The apples are arranged in groups of 2, 4, and 6. Maybe explain that if you and your child shared the apples in each wheelbarrow, you’d each have the same number of apples, you’d be even. For this portion of the discussion, cut out each apple, so you can share and show the process.
