counting worksheet for preschool

This counting worksheet for preschool features buttons! We love buttons! We made this to use after reading the book Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons, written by James Dean and illustrated by Eric Litwin. Have you read it? It’s my preschool teacher’s favorite book so I had to get it right away, and boy is it fun to read! Check out my review here.

This counting handout is one of our free printable counting worksheets. I’m very big into counting, math, and numbers. I like that this printable looks plain but there’s a lot you can do with it. For example, you can do the straight forward count the buttons in each section. Then you can say which ones have even numbers and which ones are odd. You can add one section to another section. You can use this as a button coloring sheet. And you can try to make a pattern.

I hope you enjoy this counting worksheet for preschool. Will you post a pic of your worksheet and tag us on Facebook?
