gluten free coloring page

This printable is all about a gluten free coloring page!

It’s hard to find a gluten free coloring page! We know, we tried! So, we made one. We basically wanted a gluten-free coloring sheet for kids to open the door for a conversation about celiac disease in children. Celiac disease is more prevalent in kids than people think. And, well, there’s a good book for every topic.

In the book, I’m a Gluten-Sniffing Service Dog, written by Michael Baby and illustrated by Ela Smietanka, there are many scenes with a girl and her service dog. Inspired by the book, we created this gluten free activity for kids. It’s a celiac coloring page and also has some items to cut, color, and glue into the scene to make it more your own.

Learning a child has celiac disease can be daunting because there is no medication. Treatment of celiac disease revolves around avoiding gluten foods and gluten products, which means if someone you love is diagnosed with celiac disease there’a whole lifestyle change. Click here to learn more about how to talk with your child about celiac disease. We spoke with Vanessa Weisbrod, Director with the Celiac Disease Program at Boston Children’s, to answer some of parents’ most pressing questions. Between the book and celiac printable, and the added interview, we hope you find your celiac tool kit.

We hope you enjoy this gluten free coloring page.
