Print this page then slide your finger from the top of each animal (in as straight a line as you can) toward the numbers on the left, so you can say how tall each animal is. This preschool worksheet was first made to go with the book Me and the World: An Infographic Exploration, written by Mirela Trius and illustrated by Joana Casals.

This measurement worksheet can be used to teach measurements in feet. It’s also a great way to introduce how to use a ruler to draw a line. In keeping with Me and the World: An Infographic Exploration this preschool handout can also serve as a jumping off point for infographics (Note: here is another sheet to help teach infographics to preschoolers; also related to Me and the World: An Infographic Exploration). More advanced conversations can delve into terms like measurements, units of measurements , how to measure height (to the head Vs to the top of the ears, like with a bunny), and the basics of charts/graphs, like: the horizontal axis, which is usually called the x-axis. The vertical axis, which is usually called the y-axis.

While this preschool worksheet on measurements was made with Me and the World: An Infographic Exploration specifically in mind. This measurements worksheet can be used anytime you’re looking for how to teach children to measure things.
