Here’s a free moon frame printable where YOU get to be the astronaut that’s standing on the moon!

I LOVE space and especially the moon. This fun moon picture frame backdrop was created as an activity for me and my friends when we read the book: Moon! Earth’s Best Friend, written by Stacy McAnulty and illustrated by Stevie Lewis. See my review for that phases of the moon book here. I also think it would make a great party favor for a space theme party for kids.

To use this free moon printable, just print it. if you have a color printer, then just cut along the dotted lines and use the cut out shape as a template to cut out your own photo and glue or tape it in. You can also gauge the size you need and cut your picture, then glue or tape in into place — whichever is easiest!

If you don’t have a color printer, this doubles as space coloring page! Grab your favorite colors or paint and create your own colorful background.

Want MORE space theme activities? We have a whole special space activity set and it’s free. Here’s how to get it:

ENJOY! PS – Don’t forget to add your picture to the moon frame!
