Looking for a simple maze for kids? Here’s a great beginner maze, inspired by John Lennon and Paul McCartney’s book, In My Life; illustrated by Genevieve Santos.

To complete this maze, help three generations of women: a grandma, a mom, and a granddaughter, pedal their bicycles from one side of the page to the lighthouse.  PS – This is a great Mother’s Day activity for kids too.

Are you wondering:

What is the purpose of a maze?
All mazes have different purposes but generally, the purpose of a maze is to challenge you to find a path to an end point, exit, or finish line.

How do mazes help children?
Completing a maze is a great way to help children with their problem solving skills. Solving a maze requires concentration and persistence and teaches kids, in a small way, about the rewards of applying oneself and working hard. Mazes can also help improve a child’s cognitive skills and strengthen memory.

By what age should a child be able to complete a maze?
By the time a child is in preschool, usually around the age of 4, he or she should be able to solve a simple maze.

After you solve this maze, try our bunny maze, it’s another simple maze for kids!
