This spider coloring page is great for kids who love insects and love to tell stories!
We made it to go with the book, Grandpa Bernie’s Bedtime Stories. The book, a must-read of short bedtime stories, is told in short vignettes. One is called “A Sweet Bargain,” and it tells the story of a butterfly that befriends a spider, and the beautiful friendship that develops.
While children of all ages are sure to remember the tale, this spider coloring sheet, is a great way to encourage discussions about insects – what they eat, how they live, etc. It’s also great for imaginative play.
Grab some child-friendly scissors and practice cutting the images from the bottom to glue onto the web, wherever you’d like. Re-tell the story from the book or create your very own!
