trace the stars

Trace the stars then color them in to light up the sky! This tracing worksheet has a star theme.

We originally thought of it for the 4th of July and the book The Night Before the Fourth of July, written by Natasha Wing and illustrated by Amy Wummer; but it can be used anytime you’d like to practice tracing shapes.

This tracing worksheet doubles as a counting worksheet for preschoolers. Encourage your child to count how many big stars, how many small stars, and how many stars all together. If your child tends to like more direction, consider asking for the big stars to be colored in one color and the smaller stars in another. Or, ask that each star on this star coloring page has its own unique color. The possibilities are endless!

We hope you enjoy this trace the stars activity as much as we do!
