Here’s an easy 5 min heart wreath that makes a great DIY craft for kids! It’s super easy and colorful and so much fun!
This easy craft for kids makes a memorable Valentine’s Day present. It’s also great for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and frankly — ANY day! Who wouldn’t want to receive a heartfelt, heart wreath?!
To tackle this easy heart wreath for kids, you’ll need:
- A paper plate (if you don’t have this, you could also cut out a circle from heavier card stock or even a left over cardboard box)
- Colored construction paper or heavier card stock
- Pencil
- Scissors (and your adult)
- Glue (and your adult)
- Pipe cleaner (or string)
- Hole punch
INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOW TO MAKE A PAPER HEART WREATH:
- Start with the plate, right side up, as if you were going to serve food in it.
- Use your pencil to draw a heart.
- Cut out the heart.
- Flip the plate over.
- Draw many smaller hearts onto the construction paper, then cut those out. Shoot for about 24-hearts.
- Position the hearts to your liking and glue as-you-go onto the paper plate.
- Use a hole punch to make a whole near the top of the plate.
- Thread a pipe cleaner (or string) through the opening.
