vegetable book for kids

This vegetable book for kids is sure to leave your kids (and you) smiling all day long! It’s called Veggies with Wedgies and is written/illustrated by Todd H. Doodler.

The story is about a bunch of garden vegetables that want to know what the white underpants hanging on the clothing line are all about. Then Carrot asks why everyone’s staring at the farmer’s underwear. He splits up the word: under wear, as in clothes you wear under your clothes. Suddenly onion, tomato, corn, and the others want to know more. They even want to try wearing the underwear – just to see what it feels like. What ensues it total hilarity as the veggies wiggle their shapes into underpants. I mean, nothing is funnier than a veggie with a wedgie.

Mom had to read the book slowly. She kept laughing and couldn’t get the words out. She thought the illustrations were funny too.

If you’re looking for a book that’s just fun, and a little ridiculous, this is it. It’s also a great way to talk about veggies without making it so serious.
