This book is so silly! Can you imagine a dragon eating a taco? That’s what happens again and again in Adam Rubin’s Dragons Love Tacos.
I liked that the first page in the book was just for me. It said: “Hey kid!” and that got my full attention. Shortly after, I learned dragons like tacos but they don’t like spicy tacos, no. Before I knew it we were planning a party for the dragons in the book with mild salsa and mild, non-spicy, toppings. Then we realize we goofed up by not reading the tiny writing on a jar and some sneaky jalapeños made it into the tacos and into the dragon’s tummies! The whole thing was silly business and I loved it all. At dinnertime, I talked and talked about tacos. Mom smiled. She wished the book had a stronger storyline or more of a point it was trying to make, but loved that I loved the book; at bedtime she read it again.

Do you like tacos? I haven’t tried one yet, despite Mom saying they’re pretty tasty. Do you have a recipe book you love? Let me know! I’m not a very adventurous eater but I really love to cook.
