While this book is for older children — the suggested reading age is 9-12, Mom and I couldn’t put down, Me and the World: An Infographic Exploration, written by Mireia Trius and illustrated by Joana Casals. We received this book in consideration for a review and it was a no-brainer. This book has soooooo much to look at. What’s that? And that? And how about that? I couldn’t let Mom fully answer one question before asking another. We had so much fun.

The book is a collection of infographics. I’d never even heard that word before. Turns out, I love infographics! Every page had so much to look at and talk about. The illustrations were super interesting and colorful. I learned what playground games kids play around the world, what families look like, what houses look like, and the typical breakfast foods in different countries, and much, much, more.

Mom really likes this book. She says at a time when it feels we’re living in a social distancing bubble, it’s great to learn more about other parts of the world. She thought it was comforting to remember there are other people out there, even if right now we cannot visit and learn more about them and their cultures in person.
