Easy 5 Min Heart Wreath

Here’s an easy 5 min heart wreath that makes a great DIY craft for kids! It’s super easy and colorful and so much fun!

This easy craft for kids makes a memorable Valentine’s Day present. It’s also great for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and frankly — ANY day! Who wouldn’t want to receive a heartfelt, heart wreath?!

To tackle this easy heart wreath for kids, you’ll need:

  • A paper plate (if you don’t have this, you could also cut out a circle from heavier card stock or even a left over cardboard box)
  • Colored construction paper or heavier card stock
  • Pencil
  • Scissors (and your adult)
  • Glue (and your adult)
  • Pipe cleaner (or string)
  • Hole punch

INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOW TO MAKE A PAPER HEART WREATH:

  1. Start with the plate, right side up, as if you were going to serve food in it.
  2. Use your pencil to draw a heart.
  3. Cut out the heart.
  4. Flip the plate over.
  5. Draw many smaller hearts onto the construction paper, then cut those out. Shoot for about 24-hearts.
  6. Position the hearts to your liking and glue as-you-go onto the paper plate.
  7. Use a hole punch to make a whole near the top of the plate.
  8. Thread a pipe cleaner (or string) through the opening.
