Pizza with Everything On It Book

This A Pizza with Everything On It book written by Kyle Scheele and illustrated by Andy J. Pizza was an instant hit in our home. The book arrived for free in consideration for a review, which I’m happy to say is how I’m getting a lot of books now. Mom and I opened the box before we even got home, I love taking a peek at the books. I was so excited, we had to sit in the lobby where she read it to me three times in a row. It would’ve been four, but the book made me hungry 🙂

The A Pizza with Everything On It book is about a son who tells his dad he wants to make a pizza together. I tell my dad all the time I want to make a pizza together too, so right away I wanted to know what happens next. Page after page, the boy keeps telling his dad, who owns a pizza shop by the way, “No Dad! I want a pizza with EVERYTHING on it!” And wow, does he mean everything! From pepperoni, to.a doghouse, to a treehouse, even a wheelbarrow full of penguins. They put so much stuff on it, the pizza bottoms out and they go crashing into a pizza universe. 

I won’t tell you more, so I don’t spoil this book but I think you’re going to love this A Pizza with Everything On It book. It’s so much fun to think of all the things that go on the pizza and then to go to a pizza UNIVERSE was truly spectacular. I love all things space and solar system, so the idea of a pizza universe was amazing.

Mom really liked that the “No Dad! I want a pizza with EVERYTHING on it!” line kept repeating and we got to practice saying it in different ways. She also really liked the dad and child component of the book. She did think that the part about the particle accelerator was a bit too advanced for most little kids but the illustrations were helpful in piecing this part together. I liked everything about this book. I’ve had it for many, many, months and I keep it on the short stack of books I like re-read over and over.
