Learning a new language, or reinforcing one, is no easy task! Finding fun, little, ways to involve children in a different language goes a long way to help them remember, especially when they’re having fun doing it!
We made this particular Spanish to English coloring page to go with the book Mi Comunidad! My Community! written by 123 Andrés (a Latin Grammy award-winning duo made up of Andrés and Christina) and illustrated by Mónica Paola Rodriguez.
We colored this Spanish coloring worksheet at home. We pretended we were at the supermarket and I’d tell mom I saw a cajera (cashier), and she’d do the same. Mom was SO HAPPY when I surprised her a few days later at the supermarket with that very word. I have my sorpresas (surprises). Mom taught me that afterward. Later, we made this video on some of the words from the book and from the Spanish coloring sheet.
