Looking for a tracing letters a-z pdf for preschoolers? This free alphabet tracing worksheet includes every letter of the alphabet in order! So, it’s ALL the letters – the full alphabet – one letter right after the other in order!
This free trace the full alphabet worksheet is divided into two sections. First children trace the upper case alphabet letters from A to Z. Once finished, they get to repeat the exercise and trace the full alphabet in lower case letters.
This is a great printable for children who know various (or all) of their letters and need a little extra support in putting the alphabet in, well, alphabetical order! The first time Rosie and I did this, we sang the alphabet song a few times through.
The second time we did it (we printed it again!) we were inspired by Elsa and Anna in Frozen and went with a blue and purple crayon pattern. She trace capital A in blue for Elsa, capital B in purple for Anna, and then capital C in blue again for Elsa, and continued. She then switched the starting color for the lower case letters. Maybe your child loves Super Mario Brothers and you’ll find yourself between red and green? Or maybe they’re rainbow fans and you’ll trace each letter one color of the rainbow – in order – then repeat?! The sky’s the limit.
While pattern play is a bonus activity here, there are many benefits to letter tracing for preschoolers. We wrote a whole article explaining the perks of putting crayon to paper. Read it here!
