Have you read Let’s Grow Vegetables written by Anne-Sophie Baumann and illustrated by Deborah Pinto? You’re in for a real treat! I love this gardening book.
This gardening book encourages kids to get involved on every single page. You get to prepare dirt, plant seeds, and water plants. As you work your way through the book you’re given different tasks. For example, you’ll get to use pull-tabs to loosen the soil. The book is shaped with a travel handle and a bit odd when you first open it up but you quickly forget about it because it’s so cool.
Let’s Grow Vegetables is an easy read for parents and a terrific book to teach kids about gardening. At home mom moved it from beside my bed book bin to my living room bookcase. She says she loves the book but it’s more of a daytime book than a bedtime book. After reading this book I got really into gardening. Mom even bought me a see-through roots garden, which really made everything come together.
