bunny overboard

Have you read Bunny Overboard written and illustrated by Claudia Rueda? It’s funny, interesting, and very interactive!

Bunny Overboard features Bunny! He’s dressed in a red and white bathing suit and ready to go sailing… except, he needs a lot of help from ME! I love how I get to help Bunny by blowing wind into his sail, rocking the book, knocking on the window of a sunken ship, and more. Much like Hungry Bunny, this book does a great job and making you feel as if you’re really there with Bunny every step of the way. It’s beautiful to look at too. I like the water-y feel and the surprise friend Bunny makes at high sea was one of my favorite parts of the adventure.

Bunny Overboard is a charming read. I think you’re going to love it. And when you do, check out Huff & Puff (also by Claudia Rueda) — mom bought this book years ago when my birthday was getting close to teach me how to blow out a candle. The book is an amazing take on the Three Little Pigs fable but mom used it to prepare me for my birthday party (back in the ‘olden days’ pre-pandemic when it was OK to blow a candle on a cake). Also look into the Cat series, like Here Comes Santa Cat. I own every book that Rueda illustrated in the Cat series and I love those too.
